Introducing Oak Instyle, a new addition to our veneered storage fronts. Crafted with premium oak veneer, Oak Instyle ensures a sophisticated and enduring appearance. What distinguishes Oak Instyle is its unique design element – a continuous solid oak grip that gracefully outlines each front. This design can be treated in two different ways:

1. Treated with clear lacquer or hard wax oil to preserve the natural wood tone.
2. Stained and treated with a clear top coat.

Material: Veneered HDF in oak with solid oak grip

Painted fronts are treated with two-component acid curing lacquer from Akzo Nobel. When choosing fronts spray-painted in solid color, it is important to note that the color is ordered on prescription for color match. The result depends mainly on the material and method of application, but also what kind of product being used in relation to shade and gloss. This entails that painted fronts from Noremax will not necessarily look the same as other surfaces painted in the same color with a different product.

Paint: Akzo Nobel standard paint – available in semi-gloss, satin and matte finish or Polyurethane paint – available in a satin finish only

Akzo Nobel standard paint is an industrial paint that is less resistant to scratches and chipping, and less water-resistant. Polyurethane paint is an industrial paint that is more durable, more waterproof, more scratch resistant, and easier to maintain and clean.

    Side panels for IKEA METOD:

    Side panels are used to cover the cabinet and are typically wider than the cabinet itself, serving to cover the frame, the thickness of the front, plus a few millimeters for adjustment. When using a hanging rail, the side panel may not cover the full front thickness. Side panels are available in standard dimensions, while front thickness varies with design.

    Oak Instyle side panels are made of HDF covered with oak veneer and treated with the same durable lacquer as the front. The thickness of the side panels is 12 mm, but can vary +/- 1 mm.

    If you require non-standard sizes, you can order panels in a larger size and adapt them on-site. These panels can also serve other purposes, such as shelves or other furnishings. Custom sizes can be ordered upon request.

    To mount side panels, use mounting screws from the inside of the cabinet. Screws are not included but can be purchased from us or sourced separately.

    Please note that our side panel dimensions are rounded to the nearest centimeter. For more details, please refer to our FAQ.

    Width x Height

    Two sides - This means that both sides of the cabinet must be visible, for example, stand-alone cabinets which are 60 cm, 120 cm, 180 cm. Top panels for 2 sides will be long enough to cover the top of the cabinet but also both side panels edges that are attached to the sides of the cabinet.

    One side: Choose only when one side of the cabinet is visible. For example, a 240 cm cabinet could be made of two 120 cm cabinets, attached together. In such instances, you would choose two top panels of 120 cm for 1 side.

    Please note: top panels with a side will be long enough to cover the side panel edge that is attached to the side of your cabinet.

    No sides: Choose this option when a cabinet has no visible sides, for example when the cabinet is between two other cabinets. This is ideal for storage made of at least 3 cabinets.

    Width x Height

    Plinth is available in standard NCS or Jotun colour and in brass colour.

    The plinth serves as a cover to conceal the gap between the cabinet and the floor. The plinths are constructed from 18 mm veneered, water-resistant HDF and are available in the same finish as fronts, side and top panels.

    They come with clips and screws for installation and are offered in two standard lengths: 120 cm and 240 cm, allowing for on-site customisation.

    You can add furniture legs to your design instead of using a plinth.

    Color code on stain

    Oak Instyle fronts can be stained instead of spray-painted in any colour. Stains are the pigments that pull into the wood so that it gets stained and the wood structure appears more or less depending on the chosen stain colour (for dark colours it will give the illusion of different shades). Veins and pores often darken and the colour shades of the wood appear more. Tick ​​off the stain you want. Note that the colours may be different on the screen than in reality. If you are unsure about the colour you want, you can order a sample. If you want a different colour than shown below, you can enter a colour code in the box below.

    Standard paint: Semi-gloss - without additional charge, Satin 5% additional charge, Matte 10% additional charge
    Polyurethane paint: Satin only - 30% additional charge

    Polyurethane can be used for many different purposes, but in this case, it is used as a surface treatment for fronts, sidepanels and plinths. Polyurethane varnish is an industrial varnish that is more durable and scratch-resistant, but also easier to maintain and clean.
    The choice of varnish must be considered according to your own use and needs. Due to its resistant properties, we recommend polyurethane varnish for kitchens.

    Screws are not included with the side panels, so we recommend using ordinary mounting screws purchased separately or from us.

    Order extra lacquer in case of damage when assembling or for other later occasions.
