Our Cube range provides a beautiful decorative style making it perfect for small furniture pieces such as sideboards but also well suited to kitchen tops. Because of the need for symmetrical accuracy, unfortunately the Cube series is not available in any size. However, if you are looking to frame your furniture, giving it a unique expression, the Cube series ticks all of the boxes.

Material: MDF with Akzo Nobel lacquer

Painted fronts are treated with two-component acid curing lacquer from Akzo Nobel. When choosing fronts spray-painted in solid color, it is important to note that the color is ordered on prescription for color match. The result depends mainly on the material and method of application, but also what kind of product being used in relation to shade and gloss. This entails that painted fronts from Noremax will not necessarily look the same as other surfaces painted in the same color with a different product.
Paint: Akzo Nobel standard paint – available in semi-gloss, satin and matte finish or Polyurethane paint – available in a satin finish only

Akzo Nobel standard paint is an industrial paint that is less resistant to scratches and chipping, and less water-resistant. Polyurethane paint is an industrial paint that is more durable, more waterproof, more scratch resistant, and easier to maintain and clean.

Production time: approx. 5-8 weeks + delivery time

For polyurethane paint production might take additional 2 weeks.

Sides are cover panels used on the sides of the cabinet frames. The purpose of the panels is to give the design a comprehensive and coherent expression. It is therefore also natural to choose the same colour on the side panels as on the fronts. The side panels from Noremax are made of 12 mm MDF and are treated with the same durable paint as the front.

Should you require side panels in sizes not found in the standard selection, it is common practice to order panels one size larger and then cut down to size. The side panels can also be used for other purposes such as shelves and furnishings to name a few.

Both sides - This means that both sides of the worktop must be visible, for example, stand-alone cabinets which are 60cm, 120cm, 180cm. Side panels with both sides should be long enough to cover the cabinets but also the two side plates that are attached to the sides of the carcass.

One side: Choose when only one side of the worktop is visible. For example, a 240 cm sideboard could be made of two cabinets, both of 120 cm, using two worktops of 120 cm. In such instances, you would choose two worktops of 120 cm with only one side. Please note: cabinets with a side should be long enough to cover the side plate that attaches to the sides of your carcass.

No sides: Choose this option when a worktop has no visible sides, for example when the worktop is in the middle of two other countertops. This is ideal where there is a need for at least three countertops.

Here are some tips for which countertops you should choose depending on the length of the carcass:

    60 cm worktop : (60 cm x 40 cm) with 2 sides
    120 cm worktop: (120 cm x 40 cm) with 2 sides
180 cm worktop: (180 cm x 40 cm) with two sides
    240 cm: 2 x piece worktops: (120 cm x 40 cm) with one side
    300 cm: 1 x piece worktop: (120 cm x 40 cm) with a side + 1 x piece worktop (180 x 40) with one side
    360 cm: 2-piece countertops: (180 cm x 40 cm) for one side
420 cm: 2 worktops: (180 cm x 40 cm) for one side + 1 piece (60 cm) with no side to be placed in the middle

It is important to note that passing hulls on Ikea pieces are also available in depths of 20 cm. Our replacement front fittings fit both the 40 cm and 20 cm deep hulls, but the top plates and side panels are adapted specifically for the 40 cm deep cabinets from Besta.

If you want to build a cupboard that is larger than those described, it is possible to put multiple cabinets together. To achieve this, simply turn the cabinets side by side. However, if you want to ensure maximum stability, we suggest using fewer cabinets. If you require a cabinet that is 120cm, we recommend using a unit that is 120cm rather than using two cabinets of 60cm. In a nutshell, the fewer cabinets you use the more stable the piece becomes.

Across the globe, there’s a huge production of Ikea furniture. With this in mind, there are minimal differences in the size of cabinets which can be found. While it doesn’t happen often, if the cabinets differ from each other, for example, in depth, it may become apparent that the top plate or fronts that they are not 100% equal. To avoid this as much as possible, if you build cabinets using fewer pieces, the risk of this occurring is minimal. One final piece of advice is that for maximum stability and safety, we always recommend attaching the cabinets to the wall.
