Soft Matte Basic is a plain front that comes in several different standard colours. The design is made of MDF with polymeric foil on top which is very soft to the touch and comes with a super matte finish. The best features of the design are that the material incorporates an innovative anti-scratch and anti-fingerprint technology. These features make the Soft Matte Collection perfect for kitchen furniture. Furthermore, the Soft Matte Collection comes in 8 colours as a standard choice which makes a short and sweet lead times.

    Fronts to Ikea METOD series for:

    The fronts of our Soft Matte Basic model are suitable for base and top cabinets and fits the right and left hinges.

    If the hinges are on the right, the door is right hung. If the hinges are on the left, the door is left hung.

    Horizontal doors mean doors that open in a vertical movement (upwards).

    IKEA has changed the hinge system for horizontal doors. For newly purchased kitchen-choose drawer fronts for horizontal adaptation.

    Sides are cover panels used on the sides of the cabinet frames. The purpose of the panels is to give the design a comprehensive and coherent expression. It is therefore also natural to choose the same colour on the side panels as on the fronts. Sides are also used as linings and are usually cut and adjusted during assembly.

    The side panels from Noremax are made of 13 mm MDF and come in the same material and execution as the fronts. But it is also possible to special order these in the same thickness as the fronts.

    The side panels are usually wider than the cabinet itself. This is to cover the carcass itself, the thickness of the front (door) plus a few mm to be able to adjust the panel to the wall/floor which often turns out to be uneven. Please note that the dimensions of our side panels are rounded up to the nearest cm. Exact measurements can be found under the blue question mark next to the product, dimensions may vary +/-1mm. Our sides are universal and most of them will have the same dimensions as Ikea's. Read more under our FAQ. If you want the side panels to be flushed with the fronts, it may be necessary to order them customized with a wider width. Whether this is necessary and what width is required will depend on the type of design (thickness of the selected front) and the mounting method of the cabinet frame (with or without Ikea's mounting rail).

    The sides can be adapted by cutting the sides facing the wall or floor. Side panels should be mounted from the inside of the cabinet using mounting screws. Screws do not come with side panels, so we recommend using very common mounting screws that can be purchased separately.

    Should you require side panels in sizes not found in the standard selection, it is common practice to order panels one size larger and then cut down to size. The side panels can also be used for other purposes such as shelves and furnishings to name a few.

    Width x Height

    Plinth is available in standard NCS or Jotun colour, Farrow&Ball and Little Greene and in brass colour.

    The plinth is the cover used to hide the opening between the base cabinet and the floor. The covers are made of 19 mm MDF with polymeric foil on top and come with clips and screws. The plinths are available in two lengths (1.2 and 2.4 meters) for on-site customization.

    The ventilation grill is utilized in the plinth for integrated appliances or in any other location where it is needed. It is made of stainless steel that is coloured. Please note that the Noremax ventilation grill has a different installation system from others.

    Width x Height

    The decor strip is made of MDF with polymeric foil on top. The décor strip comes in dimensions of 19 x 55 mm and is delivered in a standard length of 2.4 meters and cut down to size on the assembly place. The strip is usually used to conceal lighting mounted under the top cabinets. They are delivered in the same material and colour as your fronts.

Installation

If you thought that was it, then you are in for another treat! The installation of our Soft Matte collection is as easy as breathing. The products are designed exactly like the IKEA products. The hinge holes are in the same size and positions for your convenience. Just purchase your hinges at IKEA and get to it. You do not need any more instructions, professionals or much time. Just attach the fronts, peel off the protective foil and enjoy your new kitchen!
