An Update on the Ikea FAKTUM Kitchen

Back in April 2013, Ikea replaced the 20 year old Faktum kitchen system with the new Metod kitchen system.
An upgrade on the original Faktum kitchen, Metod is available in more sizes and widths and a completely new way of putting it together. One of the biggest advantages of this new system is the fact it’s much more flexible, meaning it can be used in more ways than just a kitchen.
While the Metod kitchen is proving ever popular but many homeowners still have the Faktum kitchen, and for very good reason! The Ikea Faktum kitchen is a very good kitchen. The new Metod fronts, sockets and covers cannot be customised to fit the new Faktum system range. This means that unfortunately the Faktum hulls are not compatible with the Metod system. But panic not, Noremax are here to help you.
If you are looking to updating the fronts of your entire kitchen, Noremax can assist. However, if you have an older style Ikea kitchen and only need a few doors and drawers replacing, we can also help. Can Noremax copy the doors of my older Ikea kitchen?
Unfortunately, we cannot copy or match older Ikea fronts but we are able to offer six options through our signature models.
Can Noremax replace the doors regardless of age in an Ikea kitchen?
For ease of reference, Noremax can replace kitchen cabinet fronts from 2002 onwards.
I’m ready to design my kitchen, what do I need to do now?
Whether it’s a new or older style kitchen, it’s always advisable to use Ikea’s free planning tools. Despite the fact that the software is made for the Metod system, the dimensions are close enough to the older system that we can still get a price on Faktum.
When the plans are complete, send them directly to us. We require the entire set, including both dimensioned heights and widths. Once complete, please place your order through our online website for a fast, secure and hassle free experience.
