The Linoleum Basic Metod Door Front is a good combination of matte fronts without finger marks and a sustainable choice. The natural material is not only an environmentally friendly option, but it also has a surface that is comfortable to the touch and holds well the colours over time. The Linoleum Basic Metod Door Front range is made of MDF, with linoleum front and oak veneer on the back and edges for the strength and modernised look that you want for your kitchen space. In addition to these stylish fronts, we also have several other kitchens such as metod kitchen cabinets that make the perfect kitchen space.     The fronts of our Basic model is suitable for base and top cabinets and fits the right and left hinges.

    If the hinges are on the right, the door is right hung. If the hinges are on the left, the door is left hung.

    Horizontal doors means doors that open in a vertical movement (upwards).

    IKEA has changed the hinge system for horizontal doors. For newly purchased kitchen-choose drawer fronts for horizontal adaptation

    Sides are cover panels used on the sides of the cabinet frames. The purpose of the panels is to give the design a comprehensive and coherent expression. It is therefore also natural to choose the same colour on the side panels as on the fronts. Sides are also used as linings and are usually cut and adjusted during assembly.

    The side panels from Noremax have a 14 mm thickness and come in the same material and finish as the fronts. But it is also possible to have them customized and made in the same thickness as the fronts. If you want side panels with the entire oak veneer surface, they can be combined with the Nordic series in oak. These side panels can also be treated with oil instead of lacquer.

    The side panels are usually wider than the cabinet itself. This is to cover the carcass itself, the thickness of the front (door) plus a few mm to be able to adjust the panel to the wall/floor which often turns out to be uneven. Please note that the dimensions of our side panels are rounded up to the nearest cm. Exact measurements can be found under the blue question mark next to the product, dimensions may vary +/-1mm. Our sides are universal and most of them will have the same dimensions as Ikea's. Read more under our FAQ. If you want the side panels to be flushed with the fronts, it may be necessary to order them customized with a wider width. Whether this is necessary and what width is required will depend on the type of design (thickness of the selected front) and the mounting method of the cabinet frame (with or without Ikea's mounting rail).

     

    The sides can be adapted by cutting the sides facing the wall or floor. Side panels should be mounted from the inside of the cabinet using mounting screws. Screws do not come with side panels, so we recommend using very common mounting screws that can be purchased separately.

    Should you require side panels in sizes not found in the standard selection, it is common practice to order panels one size larger and then cut down to size. The side panels can also be used for other purposes such as shelves and furnishings to name a few.

    Width x Height

    The plinth is the cover used to hide the opening between the base cabinet and the floor. The covers are made of 18 mm water-resistant MDF and are treated with the same durable paint as for your fronts. The covers come with clips and screws and are available in two lengths (1.2 and 2.4 meters) for on-site customization.

    The ventilation grill is utilized in the plinth for integrated appliances or in any other location where it is needed. It is made of stainless steel that is coloured. Please note that the Noremax ventilation grill has a different installation system from others.

    Width x Height

    Decor strip is made of MDF with dimensions of 19 x 55 mm and is delivered in a standard length of 2.4 meters and cut down to size on the assembly place. The strip is usually used to conceal lighting mounted under the top cabinets. They are supplied in the same durable paint as your fronts.

    Linoleum is a finished natural material with a matte surface therefore there is no option to choose degree of gloss for this design.

    The Linoleum collection is made of oak veneer that can be stained instead of just treating the surface with oil. Stains are pigments that penetrate the wood so that it becomes through-colored and the wood structure appears more or less depending on the chosen colour (on dark colours there will be less colour difference). Veinsand pores often become darker and the wood's natural shades appear.

    Check the box for the stain colour you want. Note that the colours may be shown differently on the screen than in real life.

    Screws are not included with the side panels, so we recommend using ordinary mounting screws purchased separately or from us.

    Order extra stain in case of damaging when assembling or for other later occasions.
    Attn! Extra stain can only be ordered together with fronts, never on its own. Therefore, we always recommend ordering some extra.
