The Linoleum Basic design offers you a great combination of form and function. Linoleum is a natural material that provides a matte surface, that is soft to the touch and resistible against scratches, fingerprints, and grease. The material is an environmentally friendly option and will retain its colour for many years to come. Fronts in this design have a core made of MDF, with back and sides in oak veneer, finished with a linoleum top on the front. The linoleum comes in 20 selected colours, allowing you to explore different designs and combinations. Choose fronts in linoleum and create a durable and stylish kitchen!

    The fronts of our Linoleum Basic model are suitable for base and top cabinets and fit the right and left hinges.

    If the hinges are on the right, the door is right hung. If the hinges are on the left, the door is left hung.

    Horizontal doors mean doors that open in a vertical movement (upwards).

    IKEA has changed the hinge system for horizontal doors. For newly purchased kitchen-choose drawer fronts for horizontal adaptation.

    Side panels to cover Ikea FAKTUM Carcasses

    The side panels are usually wider than the cabinet itself. This is to cover the carcass, the thickness of the front plus a few mm to be able to adapt the side panel to the wall/floor which often turns to be uneven. When using a hanging rail, the side does not necessarily cover the full thickness of the front.
     
    The side panels are delivered in standard dimensions while the fronts vary in thickness depending on the design. Please contact us if you would like to order other dimensions than what is in our range.

    Sides are cover panels used on the sides of the cabinet frames. The purpose of the panels is to give the design a comprehensive and coherent expression. It is therefore also natural to choose the same colour on the side panels as on the fronts. Linoleum Basic side panels are 14 mm thick and come in the same design as the fronts.

    If you want side panels with just an oak veneer surface, it can be combined with the Nordic series in oak. These side panels can also be treated with oil instead of lacquer.

    Should you require side panels in sizes not found in the standard selection, it is common practice to order panels one size larger and then cut down to size. The side panels can also be used for other purposes such as shelves and furnishings to name a few.

    The plinth is the cover used to hide the opening between the base cabinet and the floor. The covers are made of 18 mm water-resistant MDF with linoleum on top. The covers come with clips and are available in two lengths (1.2 and 2.4 meters) for on-site customization.

    The ventilation grill is utilized in the plinth for integrated appliances or in any other location where it is needed. It is made of stainless steel that is coloured. Please note that the Noremax ventilation grill has a different installation system from others.

    The decor strip is made of the same material as the fronts with dimensions of 19 x 55 mm and is delivered in a standard length of 2.4 meters and cut down to size at the assembly place. The strip is usually used to conceal lighting mounted under the top cabinets. They are supplied in the same material as the linoleum fronts.

    Important! The Faktum fronts that are size 40 x 125 and 60 x 125 need different cut outs for the hinges depending on where they are placed within your kitchen design (at the bottom (Figure A) , in the middle or on top of the cabinet (Figure B) ).

    Please note that 3 door high cabinets will only work with standard cut out hinges as long as the main door (125 cm long) is placed in the middle or on the top.

    If you require the main door to be on the bottom then you will need to specify this in the order note when you come to checkout. Failure to do this will occur additional cost of sending new fronts. If you need any assistance please contact us before placing order.

    Linoleum is a finished natural material with a matte surface therefore there is no option to choose degree of gloss for this design.

    The Linoleum collection is made of oak veneer that can be stained instead of just treating the surface with oil. Stains are pigments that penetrate the wood so that it becomes through-colored and the wood structure appears more or less depending on the chosen colour (on dark colours there will be less colour difference). Veinsand pores often become darker and the wood's natural shades appear.

    Check the box for the stain colour you want. Note that the colours may be shown differently on the screen than in real life.

    Screws are not included with the side panels, so we recommend using ordinary mounting screws purchased separately or from us.

Linoleum Basic fronts for IKEA Faktum kitchens

Our popular Linoleum design is now available for Faktum frames. This design is perfect if you are looking for a durable front with many functional properties. The fronts are 21 mm thick and the side panels 14 mm thick, both finished with the linoleum top that offers a matte and smooth surface. Due to the natural qualities of linoleum, the surface is resistant to scratches, fingerprints, and grease. This makes the Linoleum Basic design perfect for a kitchen and will stand the test of time.

The linoleum is available in 20 different colours, which offers just the right amount of customization, without being overwhelming. With both neutral and vivid colours to choose from, everyone should be able to find an option that suits their style.

As a complement to the linoleum, the back and sides of this design come in oak veneer. This veneer can be kept natural, treated with oil, or stained in one of our 12 stain colours.
